Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district near Charleston, South Carolina for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time contract position that offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with IEPs in a resource or self-contained setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring data
• Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluation and planning processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
