Technical Product Owner

Troy, NY (Onsite) | $65,000–$70,000 | Full-Time

Our client, a growing healthcare technology company, builds platforms that simplify pharmacy benefits, improve patient access, and support better decisions for patients, providers, and pharmacies. This is a fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly technical environment.

Role Overview

The Technical Product Owner is the bridge between business strategy and engineering execution. You’ll work closely with onshore and offshore development teams to define requirements, shape the roadmap, and ensure high-quality delivery of healthcare data and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and engineering.
  • Translate product vision into clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with developers and architects on scalable, high-performing solutions and integrations.
  • Define data flows, system interactions, and API/integration needs.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies and maintain a prioritized product backlog aligned with strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years in a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, data structures, integrations, and system workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with healthcare, PBMs, health plans, or pharmacy benefit data.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data security.
  • Experience working with distributed (onshore/offshore) teams.
