Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and execute tasks based on technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Maintain a general understanding of all shop processes.
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on “First Run” and program validation activities.
  • Adjust machine offsets to correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Ensure fixture setups meet established quality standards.
  • Calculate and configure machine controls to position spindles accurately and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed rate, and coolant flow.
  • Operate manual and/or CNC machines as required.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and communicate effectively in individual and small group settings.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply practical judgment to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine issues involving multiple variables.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in using personal computers.
