Job Title: Stationary Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90017

Shift: Open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift – must be available on weekends

Contract Type: Potential Contract-to-Hire

Contract Duration: 3+ Months

Position Summary:

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical generators, boilers, HVAC systems, and water treatment equipment within a hospital power plant environment.

Required Qualifications:

• License: LA City Steam Engineers Unlimited License
• Certifications: LA City Fire Card (within 6 months of hire)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital power plant setting

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of hazardous materials related to HVAC and boiler systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain plant systems including HVAC, boilers, and generators
• Monitor and document equipment status, readings, and maintenance activities
• Perform water treatment procedures safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Assign tasks for evening/weekend shifts and respond to emergency codes
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
