Role: Business Systems Analyst / Scrum Master
Location: Iowa City, IA (Onsite)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst / Scrum Master to support project delivery by managing sprints, coordinating team activities, and driving effective communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and documentation expertise with the ability to lead Agile ceremonies and ensure the smooth execution of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Scrum processes including sprint planning, tracking, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate and follow up on tasks and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Conduct business and functional analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and impact assessments.
• Perform data analysis to support informed business decisions.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data as needed.
• Review and interpret JSON/XML data structures and basic Python scripts when required.
• Prepare detailed documentation such as requirements specifications, functional designs, and user stories.
• Proactively identify issues, ask insightful questions, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master , Business Systems Analyst , or similar hybrid role.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies .
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with SQL , JSON/XML , and basic Python .
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to think critically, clarify requirements, and ensure smooth execution.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Insurance (Annuity) domain projects.
• Certifications: CSM, PSM, CBAP, or CCBA.
