Position : Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager #970277

Location : Houston TX – onsite 5 days per week (Next to airport - Free parking)

Duration : 13 months

Compensation: $60-$63/hr W2 employees with benefits. ($120,000/yr)

Department: Infrastructure PMO

Program : Terminal Construction: Houston Airport

• Supporting: Corporate Real Estate - we support that portfolio by providing Digital Technology (IT) Infrastructure components of a project
• Everything from the circuit orders, network switches, routers, end-user equipment

Required :

• 8+ years of project management experience
• 6+ years infrastructure
• Must have done Corporate Real Estate / Facilities / Construction (IT side)
• IT infrastructure corporate real estate/construction projects but NOT construction backgrounds. Candidates need to have done the IT INFRASTRUCTURE
• Must have worked as an Infrastructure PM at Fortune 100 companies
• Airline/AIRPORT or TSA experience is very nice to have but not required

Role:

• The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize IT infrastructure-related projects of various sizes and complexities according to strict requirements, deadlines, and defined budgets.
• This position will coordinate the efforts of internal IT and contractor/consultant teams through all phases of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) to deliver projects according to plan.
• This includes communicating effectively across teams and with IT leadership, tracking overall project performance, cost, and schedule/milestones, maintaining project scope, and adhering to change management processes.
• The Project Manager is experienced and self-sufficient in performing his/her responsibilities, including project related decisions, requiring little supervision, but general guidance and direction.

Responsibilities :

• Manage multiple IT/Infrastructure projects of varying sizes using best practices
• Manage technology refresh cycles that regularly update key elements of the IT infrastructure to maximize system performance
• Be accountable for on-time and on-budget deliverables by understanding and balancing the competing demands for project scope, time (including estimating), resources, cost, risk, and quality
• Collaborate with other project managers to assure a consistent implementation of project management disciplines and methodologies
• Coordinate project activities leveraging team members across areas of the enterprise, vendors, external agencies and partners
• Prepare and provide regular updates on progress, risks, issues, etc. to department leadership/sponsors
• Scope, estimate, and plan new IT/Infrastructure projects
• Track, manage, report, and forecast project labor hours and project financials
• Track and manage required technology acquisition, working with procurement and vendors to ensure PO’s, delivery, and invoicing are completed in accordance with project schedule
