Process Automation Engineer – Steel Manufacturing – Pueblo, CO

A well-established and growing steel manufacturer in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to join their team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for production and maintenance in a modern steelmaking and rolling mill environment
• Design, develop, and implement control systems (hardware and software) to improve: E quipment performance, Product quality, Energy efficiency, Uptime and automation
• Modify and improve PLC and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley preferred)
• Troubleshoot and resolve process control system issues with ownership from start to finish
• Design KPIs and build bridges between automation systems and enterprise data tools
• Write functional specs and contribute to high-level control architecture
• Lead or support cross-functional project initiatives

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automated Manufacturing Engineering
• At least 3-4 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of PLC/HMI platforms (especially Allen-Bradley -must have) and industrial controls
• Comfortable reading technical schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical)
• Problem-solving mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to take on-call support when needed for critical systems

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $115,000 – $125,000
