Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Finance Department. About the Job:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded, organized, and maintained. The role requires managing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with reconciliations, and ensuring timely communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-driven, and committed to meeting deadlines while maintaining professional interactions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions.
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, vendor payments, and collection calls.
Conduct credit card and bank reconciliations.
Monitor and manage incoming emails to ensure timely responses and follow-ups.
Ensure timely and professional communication with clients, vendors, and internal staff.
Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with the team to improve processes and maintain compliance with financial policies.
Qualifications :
Entry-level position; prior bookkeeping experience is a plus.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus.
An active California Driver’s License required.
Proficiency in using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Customer collection call experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
