Job Description

Director of Procurement is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's purchasing and supply chain management, including sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts with vendors, managing inventory levels, coordinating logistics operations like transportation and warehousing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while optimizing costs and operational efficiency across the entire supply chain. 

Key responsibilities of the Director of Procurement:

Strategic Procurement:

· Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business goals. 

· Identify and source new suppliers, evaluate vendor performance, and manage supplier relationships.

· Complete daily procurement in coordination with Project management and Field project superintendents.

· Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable pricing agreements. 

Logistics Management:

· Oversee the movement of goods from suppliers to operations. 

· Management of Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Associates

· Monitor inventory levels and manage warehouse operations to ensure proper storage

Compliance and Risk Management:

· Ensure adherence to all procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing standards 

· Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions and risks 

· Monitor compliance with quality control standards 

Reporting and Analysis:

· Generate comprehensive reports on procurement and trends 

· Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in procurement and logistics operations, preferably in a leadership role 
• Electrical knowledge preferred
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with vendors 
• Expertise in supply chain management principles and best practices 
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
