Job Description

They are seeking an experienced Manager of DevOps to lead their devops team. At the heart of their organization lies a commitment to innovation and excellence, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to drive our DevOps initiatives forward.

Role Overview: As the Manager of DevOps, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our software development and deployment processes. You will lead a team of talented engineers in implementing and managing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes deployments. Your expertise in AWS, Terraform, and cloud migrations will be essential in driving our technical operations to new heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Lead the development and optimization of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline our software development lifecycle.
  • Kubernetes Deployment: Manage Kubernetes clusters and deployments, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability of containerized applications.
  • Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure, enabling rapid and consistent deployment of resources.
  • Cloud Migration Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud, leveraging your expertise in cloud migrations and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build and mentor a high-performing DevOps team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with software development, IT operations, and other teams to ensure alignment of DevOps initiatives with business objectives.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response: Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues, ensuring the reliability and availability of our systems.
  • Best Practices Advocacy: Champion best practices in DevOps, including infrastructure as code, version control, and automated testing, to improve efficiency and maintainability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a proven track record of managing cloud infrastructure and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC, as well as expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive alignment towards common goals.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and alerting systems for proactive incident response.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration.
