Job Description

Our client, a nationally respected, employee-owned infrastructure engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support and lead Water Resources (H&H) work across major transportation and water projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and refine design calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications for complex H&H and stormwater projects.
• Apply senior-level technical expertise to evaluate engineering solutions and ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Support Project Managers with research, development, design, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and technical oversight.
• Develop scopes, budgets, and level-of-effort estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and teaming partners and assist with proposal development.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Engineering + 8 years’ experience
• OR Master’s + 7 years
• OR PhD + 6 years
• Strong H&H and stormwater design experience (transportation preferred).
• Ability to lead tasks, solve complex design issues, and manage discipline-level delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree; 10+ years’ experience
• PE license
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or ORD

Salary Range

$105,000 – $130,000 (DOE)
