Job Title: UX/UI Designer – Property & Casualty Insurance

Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ (On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-friendly, and visually engaging digital experiences that meet the needs of our policyholders, agents, and internal teams. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, visual branding, and responsive interface development in the context of the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Deeply learn and understand current product lines, customer experiences, and business development plans.

· Perform user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather feedback, define user goals, and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Develop information architecture, journey maps, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.

· Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, style guides, and visual interfaces for Property & Casualty insurance products.

· Lead the design of user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring optimal usability, accessibility, and visual appeal.

· Collaborate with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into compelling design solutions, and ensure pixel-perfect execution across deliverables.

· Ensure designs meet compliance requirements, align with brand guidelines, and support ongoing enhancements for client dashboards, partner portals, and digital self-service tools.

· Analyze customer journeys to identify pain points and streamline workflows for policy quotes, claims submissions, and renewals.

· Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies, especially those impacting the insurance industry.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of professional UX/UI design experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with design systems, accessibility standards. and cross-platform design best practices.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience designing insurance quoting platforms, claims systems, or agent portals.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance workflows and terminology.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.

Work Schedule & Professional Standards

  • This is an in-office position located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ .
  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch .
  • Business attire is required daily:
  • Males: Clean-shaven, suit and tie.
  • Females: Professional business attire.
