A rapidly growing developer of state-of-the-art mission-critical facilities is seeking an accomplished and driven Strategic Construction Leader to oversee the execution of large-scale infrastructure development projects. This pivotal role will lead the full lifecycle of complex builds—delivering on cost, quality, and speed within an environment known for innovation and excellence in operational uptime.

  • A culture that values innovation, operational excellence, and forward-thinking design practices.
  • Competitive compensation, travel opportunities, and the ability to influence large-scale, mission-driven development initiatives.

Focus:

  • Drive full-cycle management of large capital development projects—from planning through delivery—with a focus on high-performance electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to guide project strategy, permitting, procurement, and delivery for mission-critical infrastructure builds.
  • Lead budget management efforts, overseeing real-time cost tracking, reporting, and capital expenditure justification to executive leadership.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop and negotiate scopes of work and project contracts.
  • Direct contractor performance and ensure alignment on construction timelines, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Serve as a liaison with utility providers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Facilitate Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, creating clear communication channels and consistent project updates.
  • Contribute to environmental initiatives, including integrating recycling strategies into construction phases.
  • Own documentation processes, project tracking systems, and compliance milestones throughout development.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required.
  • Background in structural, civil, or electrical engineering is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing complex construction projects with a heavy focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems; direct exposure to mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers, telecom hubs, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Background in large-scale real estate development or construction management.
  • Demonstrated leadership across at least two of the following disciplines: general contracting, project accounting, procurement, construction management.
  • 4+ years leading technical teams and external partners, with a hands-on management approach.
  • Strong problem-solving acumen, with a record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Deep knowledge of construction sequencing, contract negotiations, and change order management.
  • High proficiency with construction project software including Microsoft Project and Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to oversee active build sites and partner with on-site stakeholders.
