Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Natural Gas Scheduler to join our Houston team. This role focuses on scheduling natural gas flows across South region pipelines while supporting cash trading activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of pipeline operations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.

• Pipeline Scheduling:

  • Schedule and confirm natural gas nominations across South pipelines (e.g., Gulf Coast, Southeast systems).
  • Monitor daily flows, imbalances, and capacity constraints to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Communicate with pipeline operators, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve scheduling issues.

• Cash Trading Support:

  • Assist traders with real-time market decisions by providing accurate flow and capacity data.
  • Execute short-term cash transactions to optimize positions and manage imbalances.
  • Track and report daily cash market activity and pricing trends.

• Operational Coordination:

  • Maintain compliance with pipeline tariffs and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare daily scheduling reports and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with risk, accounting, and settlements teams to ensure accurate data flow.

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in natural gas scheduling or trading operations.
• Familiarity with South region pipelines and EBB systems (e.g., TETCO, Transco, Gulf South).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.

• Experience with cash trading and market optimization strategies.
• Proficiency in scheduling platforms and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of FERC regulations and pipeline tariffs.
