At its core, the Solution Architect's role is to collaborate with key stakeholders and engineering teams to evaluate business requirements and design solutions using elements of business process, information, and technology which when combined, enhance the platform or solve a specific problem, all while adhering to enterprise architecture standards. Solution Architects define solutions which meet agreed upon business requirements by understanding technical components and parameters, identifying applications and interfaces, and documenting these part-pieces of solutions, building detailed design documents and diagrams that pull it all together. The Solution Architect is not only responsible for finding answers and designing solutions, but they are also empowered to actively lead a technical vision from concept to completion. They act as a bridge between leadership, key stakeholders, and technical teams, and communicate their solutions in both technical and non-technical terms. To round out the bridge; Technical knowledge, an ability to communicate, strong collaboration skills, solid teamwork and agility are all key attributes of a Solution Architect. **Core Tasks and Responsibilities** + Participate in collaboration efforts around new projects and provide thought leadership and technological suggestions to achieve the desired goal + Create high-level solution-approach documents that outline the proposed solutions, technology components, estimated costs, proposed resources, and estimated resource usage + Create low-level solution designs which includes any necessary components, technology sequencing, and master end-to-end plan + Have working knowledge of and ability to use common Generative AI tools in your daily workflow + Partner with all levels of the organization including Product / Business stakeholders, Engineering / DevOps, Agile Facilitation, Management, and Production Support / Site Reliability Engineering in the development of end-to-end solutions + Account for challenges generated by constraints including risks, time, resources and scope + Partner with Agile Facilitation and Product Management teams to provide key insights and progress into the status of solution development + Provide frequent reviews of in-flight solutions to stakeholders, management, and leadership and be prepared to speak to them in both technical and high-level terms + Work closely with Software Engineering leadership and contributors to ensure delivery of quality solutions + Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Site Reliability Engineering teams to ensure proper technology selections, infrastructure design, and cloud resource allocations **Technical Background & Skillsets** + Master's degree in computer science / software engineering or equivalent professional experience + Project management and leadership skills are essential + Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure + Current understanding of best practices around data protection and security + Experience in software engineering and design architecture + Experience developing, designing, and/or leading teams developing web-based applications + Understanding and usage of Generative AI tools to accelerate workflows to deliver software faster + Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes + Professional experience working with and analyzing infrastructure and software + Advanced knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Educational Management Systems, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable + Analytical Skills - Strong ability to use critical thinking and reasoning to solve a problem + Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills + Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level + Ability to "connect the dots" when it comes to large system design and understands, communicates, and solves for enterprise scale technical integration concerns + Evidence of negotiation skills, problem-solving, planning skills, and good judgment + Demonstrated experience to adapt to changing priorities + Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Ability to balance strategic thinking/long term opportunities with operational focus + 10+ more years of combined software development and architecture experience + 5+ years of experience with .NET (Framework and Core) development with a focus on web-related frameworks is desirable + 5+ years of experience with cloud computing. AWS experience is highly desired + 4-5 years' experience in analyzing business requirements, recommending technical solutions, and writing technical specifications and/or requirements **_Applications will be accepted through 7/2/25.
