MAGIS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Soccer Coach. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of aspiring soccer players by providing top-notch training sessions and becoming their mentor.

What is MAGIS?

Position Responsibilities - Soccer Coach:

  • Within the structure of MAGIS, prepare and deliver a high-quality soccer training program aimed at achieving the group and individual objectives for athletes.
  • Have constant communication between the athlete, parent and guardians on the progress of the player.
  • Provide feedback to all soccer players based on their performance in their MAGIS sessions and team games and practices.
  • Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the MAGIS training methodologies and contribute to its improvements.
  • Create a positive impact beyond the soccer field by empowering the soccer player’s confidence and mindset.
  • Work closely with all members of MAGIS to continually review program structure, content, delivery, objectives, and resources, making recommendations where changes could improve quality or opportunities to grow the business.
  • Maintain constant communication with the MAGIS Director to update all athletes' performance and ensure all your work is aligned with MAGIS’s mission.
  • Attend all MAGIS team/organizational meetings.
  • Attend to players' games with their club and/or school teams
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Ability:

  • High standard of proficiency in soccer, training and instructional techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management, business administration or a similar sports or business-related field or the equivalent.
  • College soccer playing experience minimum (College coaching experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong commitment to athletes.
  • Fluency and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Excellent human skills.
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
  • Proactive and ability to take initiative and develop solutions quickly.
  • Having the humility to listen and learn.
  • Ability to connect with players on a personal level

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive for training sessions and player’s games.
  • Should have space available to store training materials.

Employment Type:

Full-Time / Part-time

Location

We are currently based in Memphis, TN.

Compensation

$45-$65 per training session

Part-time 10-13 sessions per week / Full-time 14-20 sessions per week

Desired starting date

Summer 2025
