Job Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead the design and development of new products, support existing product lines, and ensure the seamless transition from R&D to production. This role requires hands-on design work, technical leadership, and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams to bring innovative, high-quality solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle design projects for new products—from concept and planning to validation and release.
• Support existing product lines through design improvements and production support.
• Analyze mechanical performance and recommend new design concepts or improvements.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials to ensure manufacturability.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers in design and drafting activities.
• Troubleshoot product challenges in manufacturing and field applications.
• Ensure products meet safety, quality, and budgetary standards.
• Perform engineering calculations (hand calculations, FEA) to validate designs.
• Support integration of imported designs and ensure compatibility with production standards.
• Collaborate with materials engineering to evaluate material substitutions.
• Develop design prototypes and support rig-up stages of production.
• Enhance manufacturing efficiency through design input on welding, assembly, fixtures, and sequences.
• Implement quality control checkpoints and quality plans during production.
• Respond to custom design requests from customers.
• Provide engineering support during field service and production troubleshooting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 7+ years of mechanical or structural design experience. Field experience, especially with drilling equipment , is preferred.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong design and mechanical engineering background
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, product development, and quality assurance
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus
• Software Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, especially SOLIDWORKS
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and travel as required
• Must meet the physical and mental demands of workshop, office, and job site environments
