Job Description

Job Title: Senior Interior Designer & Project Manager – High-End Residential

Location: New York City

Salary: $100,000-$135,000 DOE

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer & Project Manager to lead and execute luxury residential projects in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end residential design, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with architects, clients, and vendors to deliver exceptional interiors that reflect sophistication and exclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of high-end residential projects from concept through installation.
  • Collaborate closely with architects using AutoCAD, Adobe CS and Bluebeam to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of junior designers, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision, present design concepts, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure delivery of projects on time and within scope.
  • Develop new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the studio’s portfolio in the luxury residential market.
  • Maintain industry knowledge of current design trends, materials, and high-end finishes to ensure innovative and competitive offerings.
  • Have a working relationship and knowledge of FFE vendors, manufacturers and galleries in the city and beyond.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design, preferably in NYC.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale luxury residential projects.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent client communication and presentation abilities.
  • Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated, luxurious residential interiors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • No visa sponsorships available; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Established network within the NYC luxury residential market.
