Job Description

Our client is hiring a Sr. Cash Management Consultant who’s equal parts financial expert and relationship builder! You’ll design solutions, guide clients, and drive impact across a diverse portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, ownership, and face-to-face connection!

  • Location: Hybrid role - in office once a week in Sacramento, CA, or Spokane, WA. This role also requires travel along the West Coast to cover your territory (CA, OR, WA).
  • Compensation: $130k - $160k per year
  • No third parties: no C2C or sponsorship available

YOUR Why

Take the lead in shaping smart cash management strategies for a diverse portfolio of Regional Agribusiness Direct, Association, Rural Infrastructure, and Corporate Finance clients. As the Senior Cash Management Consultant, you will assess client needs for cash management, uncover opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that drive growth. You’ll be responsible for both winning new business and deepening existing relationships. As a trusted advisor to internal teams and customers alike, you'll bring expertise, insight, and a consultative approach to every interaction. You'll also take charge of risk assessment, product pricing, and negotiations to ensure profitability and long-term value.

How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

  • Identify and manage cash management opportunities within existing portfolios for expansion and retention, and support relationship managers in acquisition efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers with complex cash management needs.
  • Conduct customer calls and in-person visits, relationship reviews, and mapping sessions to assess and address operational and cash management requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, educational sessions, and public speaking engagements for internal teams, customers, and industry associations.
  • Analyze customer receivables, payables, liquidity, fraud management, and operational processes to develop tailored cash management solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers and internal partners to ensure seamless service delivery and up-to-date knowledge of customer relationships.
  • Update CRM systems with sales activities, pipeline stages, and customer reviews to support reporting on revenue growth and portfolio management priorities.
  • Manage referrals to and from Centralized Cash Management Specialists, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth customer transitions.
  • Research competitor products and pricing, and develop business plans aligned with KPIs and bank objectives for assigned portfolios.
  • Oversee implementation processes, including agreements, follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction, and preparation of RFP responses in coordination with relationship managers.

What YOU Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10 years of relevant banking business development experience.
  • 7 years of cash management experience.
  • Ability to plan territory activities to ensure both existing and new customers are actively engaged.
  • Ability to travel around CA, OR, and WA to meet with prospective clients, associations, etc.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work with clients, association leaders, Relationship Managers, and other stakeholders at varying levels within an organization.
