Job Title: Research Associate I

Department: QC Bioassays

Location: Newark, CA

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week), Monday–Friday

Duration: 1-year contract (06/16/2025 – 06/15/2026)

Job Summary:

The Research Associate I supports QC Bioassay operations by performing laboratory-based research under supervision. Responsibilities include animal handling and dosing, data collection, equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with SOPs, GMP, GLP, and GDP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer doses via various routes (IP, SQ, IM, oral gavage)
• Perform daily animal monitoring, weighing, and health scoring
• Assist with necropsy and tissue/organ collection
• Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy study data files
• Conduct general lab maintenance and support study preparation
• Learn and perform in vitro/in vivo models and analysis (e.g., JMP)
• Comply with all SOPs and regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Experience handling lab animals (mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs)
• Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with lab equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to work weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with dose formulation
• Ability to review and analyze study data
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field
• 1+ year of industry lab experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and handling of lab animals
• Must be comfortable working in a lab and animal facility environment
• Routine use of syringes/needles and computer equipment
