POSITION OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a Project Manager to join the Structures Division at C.W. Matthews. This leader will oversee multiple DOT structures projects, coordinate cross-division collaboration, and directly support a team of 2–4 project or field engineers. This role blends administrative oversight, field coordination, and people development. The ideal candidate has a passion for the construction industry, field experience in structures work, and is excited about long-term growth into senior leadership. POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage multiple active bridge and structures projects across Georgia
• Interpret plans, specs, and contracts; ensure projects meet scope and quality standards
• Maintain and manage project schedules and budgets
• Coordinate materials procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and delivery timelines
• Support and collaborate with field operations teams and division partners
• Provide mentorship, training, and support to junior engineers and field staff
• Ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence on all projects
• Support cross-division coordination to maximize project efficiency and communication

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• 5–10 years of experience in heavy civil, bridge, or DOT structures work
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer on DOT projects
• Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, specifications, and materials
• Proven experience leading teams, mentoring staff, and managing construction schedules
• Technical proficiency with scheduling and project management tools (e.g., P6, Bluebeam)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized
• Experience coordinating across multiple trades or divisions is a plus
