About the Role

We are seeking a Production Engineering Assistant Manager to join our team in Mantachie, MS. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical engineering expertise with supervisory responsibilities. You will lead the Seat Assembly Production Engineering (PE) team in establishing and optimizing production processes within a Just-In-Time (JIT) automotive manufacturing environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the Seat Assembly PE team to ensure efficient production processes.
• Create and evaluate process plans , flow layouts , work combinations, and equipment specifications.
• Oversee supplier selection for tools and equipment sourcing.
• Manage and control budgets, tracking related activities.
• Guide design, construction, and installation of new tools and equipment.
• Analyze and resolve production preparation issues promptly.
• Report production preparation status to PE management and related groups.
• Collect and organize data for future programs and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6+ years of production/manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience with assembly processes (high-volume preferred).
• Proven ability to implement/install industrial equipment from design to production .
• Budget management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering degree highly preferred).

Nice to Have

• Automotive experience (injection, assembly, tooling, welding; seat assembly preferred).
• PLC programming experience.
