Job Description

Our client, a leading medical devices manufacturing company, is looking for a Procurement Manager. This is for an initial duration of 6 months and is located in Franklin Lakes, NJ.

Preferred Franklin Lakes, NJ or Sparks, MD on site 4 days a week ,1 day remote

Job Description:

• The Procurement Manager engages the appropriate business leaders and stakeholders and is responsible for the execution of the sourcing strategy associated with the assigned portfolio.
• This position leads the execution of key projects and activities including negotiations, supplier management, issue resolution, and much more.
• Procurement Manager is responsible for speaking on behalf of the procurement function regarding all relevant categories and functional initiatives.

This associate:

• Ensures alignment of procurement goals with assigned business.
• Plans and manages strategic stakeholder engagements to ensure alignment of activities across the internal and external supply chains.

Procurement Manager is accountable for:

• Delivery of results against procurement functional goals
• Improvement on financial position through cost savings, non-price value opportunities and price movement / inflation management and appropriate standard costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of work experience - Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management
• Broad business knowledge and acumen
• Proficiency in strategic sourcing or category management with a history of successful implementation
• Experience with supplier value management, supplier development and continuous improvement
• Able to successfully champion change and innovation
• Action Oriented with ability to drive for results.
• Skilled at developing partnerships; building and maintaining strong working relationships
• A proven track record of developing programs and collaborating with others to reach mutual outcomes
• Adept at leading and working in diverse environments

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $48-$50 per hour.
