Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Manager of Procurement for one of our large commercial airline clients to sit in Charlotte, NC. This person will act as the primary leader for procurement operations, supporting the entire Airlines organization with a strong focus on the Maintenance Organization.

This role will be primarily responsible for managing procurement of aircraft parts, tooling, GSE, and training materials. Leading a team of Procurement Analysts and AOG Expeditors. Driving vendor management, RFP/RFQ processes, and KPI development.

This will require an overall understanding of Aviation operations, supply chain, and purchasing strategies. ERP systems (MXI), Microsoft Office, and strong analytics (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Contract management and lead-time visibility.

They will be primarily Collaborating with Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, and Repair teams. Maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring customer service excellence. Working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Communication is key with internal teams (maintenance, stores, planning) and external vendors to ensure on-time aircraft departures.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2–3 years aviation experience, preferably supervisory.

• Experience managing technical teams (Procurement Analysts, AOG Expeditors).

• Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, contracts, and procurement processes.

• Strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational expenses.

• Contract development and negotiation experience.

• Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration.

• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field.

• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.

• Experience with ERP systems

• Long-term procurement planning (3–5 years).
