Peer Specialist
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite)
Salary Range: $35,000 – $40,000 per year
We’re looking for a Peer Specialist to join our team and support individuals in a men’s shelter setting. In this role, you’ll use your own lived experience with the mental health system to build meaningful relationships, provide encouragement, and help others on their recovery journey. You’ll connect participants to community resources, advocate on their behalf, and co-create wellness tools that foster stability and growth.
What You’ll Do:
Build supportive, authentic relationships through empathy and shared experiences
Assist with outreach, engagement, and advocacy in the community
Support participants in developing life skills and personal recovery goals
Work collaboratively with the team to promote a recovery-oriented culture
