Job Title: Payroll Garnishment Specialist

Location: Frisco, TX 75034

Employment Type: Contract (3 to 6 Months)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Payroll Garnishment Specialist for a 3 to 6-month contract opportunity in Frisco, TX. This position will be fully onsite and will focus on the accurate processing of wage garnishments in accordance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in payroll environments using Oracle and ADP Smart Compliance systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process all types of wage garnishments, including but not limited to:
• IRS levies
• Child support
• Student loans
• Bankruptcies
• Third-party creditor orders
• Enter and manage garnishment data using the MyHR (Oracle) payroll and HR system
• Audit new and revised garnishment records for accuracy and compliance
• Generate and analyze reports in Oracle and ADP to validate payroll deductions
• Complete and return wage worksheets, including notarization, within deadlines
• Prepare and distribute garnishment notifications to employees
• Provide support to employees with garnishment-related questions
• Open and process incoming garnishment-related mail daily
• Maintain documentation, filing, and data entry related to garnishments
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payroll discrepancies
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state garnishment laws to ensure ongoing compliance
• Assist with payroll team projects and additional payroll tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience, with emphasis on garnishment handling
• Experience using Oracle payroll systems (required)
• Experience with ADP Smart Compliance (strongly preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Edge
• Strong knowledge of federal and state garnishment regulations
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Additional Skills:

• Typing proficiency and 10-key input
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay Rate: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Duration: 3 to 6 months
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Location: 100% onsite in Frisco, TX
