Job Description

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client’s Pasadena, CA office.

Note: You must have at least 4+ years of litigation experience, including Law and Motion, and be proficient in State and Federal court filing, court rules, and calendaring. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not schedule a call, as it will be canceled.

Their legal team handles high-volume, complex cases and is particularly known for its depth in Law and Motion practice. Job Description

  • Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including motions, discovery, subpoenas, writs, and levies
  • Handle high-volume Law and Motion filing in both State and Federal courts
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant court rules, including formatting, page limits, deadlines, and procedures
  • Manage e-filing in State and Federal courts (including PACER)
  • Maintain and manage court calendars, deadlines, and hearing schedules
  • Assist with trial preparation and document production
  • Verify legal citations using Lexis/Westlaw
  • Maintain communication with attorneys, courts, sheriff's offices, and clients
  • Coordinate deadlines and case progress in a fast-paced legal environment

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved) OR 7+ years of experience at a reputable law firm
  • 4+ years of litigation and Law and Motion experience
  • Experience with e-filing in both State and Federal courts
  • Strong knowledge of California and Federal civil procedure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting for TOA and TOC
  • Experience in calendaring and docket management
  • Excellent proofreading and citation verification skills
  • Ability to work full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
