Job Description

Position Summary:  

 

CBSA seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Member Success & Events Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our member community and to manage the planning and execution of member and signature events. This role blends relationship management with event strategy and execution, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and stakeholders across the ecosystem. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

Member Success & Engagement (50%)  

  • Serve as the first point of contact for CBSA members, ensuring timely, personalized, and value-driven communication 
  • Onboard new members, track renewals, and coordinate member engagement activities 
  • Maintain and manage the member database and CRM system, ensuring accurate records and reporting 
  • Support the Membership Committee and other volunteer leaders in strategy execution and follow-up 
  • Conduct periodic outreach to gauge satisfaction and capture feedback for improvement 
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships and Marketing teams to highlight member stories and elevate their visibility 

 

Event Planning & Execution (50%)  

  • Plan and execute CBSA’s events portfolio including roundtables, summits, member mixers, and major annual gatherings 
  • Coordinate logistics, venue management, catering, AV, vendor relations, and attendee communications 
  • Partner with the marketing team on event promotion, branding, and collateral 
  • Serve as on-site lead for all events, ensuring seamless execution and a positive experience for all participants 
  • Manage event registration, reporting, and post-event surveys 
  • Maintain a master event calendar and timelines, ensuring deadlines are met 

Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associates degree minimum 
  • 3–5 years of experience in membership engagement, event planning, or program management (nonprofit or association experience a plus) 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a member-first mindset 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and online registration/event platforms
  • Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and high attention to detail 
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and travel for events (including multi-day engagements) 

 

Compensation & Benefits:  

  • Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience
