Job Description

Title: Medical Records Specialist

Duration: 2-3 months

Location: North Charleston, SC 29405

pay range: $25-$32/hr

Responsibility

Contractor to be assigned the gift card fulfillment project duties along with the member incentive notification process/mailings.

This is a core project to direct and reward members for closing care gaps.

This involves pulling and manipulating data and documenting in a spreadsheet.

Additional responsibilities would include faxing to providers for year-round medical record review where we dont have EMR access.

Other duties would include processing invoices for payment to third party copy services and saving records to local drive. The contractor may be trained in HEAL to assist with gift card inquiries from Member Services dept.

Possible outreach to members who remain non-compliant for priority measures.

Minimum of 20 calls/day.

Documentation of calls in JIVA.

Also assist with scripting for POM dialer and texting campaigns.

Skills

• Experience abstracting records is a plus but not required.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully within all levels of the organization.
• Proficient PC skills in a windows based environment. Experience with Word, Excel, Adobe.
• Can assist with high level administrative duties but have health care experience and knowledge.
• Able to multitask, be detail orientated and be able to jump in where needed.

Education

HS Diploma or Equivalent
