Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Laboratory Technologist (ASCP) to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Position Summary:

Job Title: MLT (ASCP)

Location: Westfield, MA 01086

Duration: 13 Weeks’ Contract (Possible Extension)

Schedule: M-F Days (8x5)

Shift: 5 X 8s • 40 hrs. / Week

Pay Range: $2000-$2250/ Gross Weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and immunohematology.
• Prepare and analyze samples using standard laboratory equipment and techniques.
• Accurately document and report test results in a timely manner.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment according to quality control standards.
• Follow established procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, laboratory policies, and safety protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field required.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or eligible (required).
• Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
