Kelly Services is partnering with Signode to find Night Shift Maintenance Technicians in the Florence, KY area. This location produce strap, stretch and protective packaging and packaging tools and equipment used to apply the bulk packaging materials. These commercial packaging products are used to pack, bundle, unitize, protect and secure goods during warehousing and transit. Our company is a materials, processes and automation technology that have revolutionized the sector.

This position is a direct hire position and would come with a $2000 sign-on bonus and full benefits that would start 30 days after you start.

Job Description

Benefits:

Shift: 3rd Shift

• 7:45pm to 8:00am. 12 hours shift. Rotative schedule M/T/S/S - W/T/F

Salary:

• $27.70 - $35.00 (Based on experience) + 10% shift differential
• $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (Paid in installments - 50% after 30 days and after 6 months)

Summary:

The primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Complies with applicable regulations and the department’s safety program.

Essential Functions:

• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.
• Perform duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
• Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
• Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
• Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
• Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
• Maintain building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
• Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 1-3 years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in fast paced manufacturing environment. Any equivalent of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
• Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
• Must have a good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives are preferred.
• Experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred; training will be provided.
