Werco Manufacturing is seeking a talented Machinist to join our production team. In this role, you will operate advanced machinery to produce precision components that meet the rigorous demands of our aerospace, defense, and commercial clients. Working closely with engineers and quality professionals, you will transform raw materials into finished parts with exceptional accuracy. • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders) to produce parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Perform precise measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to optimize performance and quality during production runs.
• Inspect finished components for defects and compliance with quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
• Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as a machinist or in a precision manufacturing role.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machines and understanding G-code programming.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, defect-free parts.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  

• Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense manufacturing standards (e.g., AS9100, ITAR compliance).
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machines or advanced machining techniques.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
