Job Description:
- Machine Operator is an entry level position with no certification required.
- The purpose for an operator at this level is to learn and train on the basic understandings of all machine specific operations.
- Operators have the basic ability to set up and operate a variety of machines to produce precision parts with immediate supervision by a certified operator (level II or above).
- Follow established standard work under immediate supervision in efforts to obtain certification within 120 days.
- Operator follows and complies with established standard work practices under immediate supervision.
- The operator will typically refer problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, Supervisors or Engineers.
- Responsibilities: Learn how to set up and operate machinery according to standard work.
- Learn how to make machine adjustments
- Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Understand and follow quality testing techniques
- Learn how to inspect product using precision gauges, measuring instruments and equipment
- Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing documentation and labor transactions.
- Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
- Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities
- Working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business
- Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need.
