Job Description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technicians to be based at the Forest Park GDOT laboratory . Must have ACI Strength Certification and experience with concrete mix design.

These candidates will be providing quality assurance/quality control testing for a variety transportation projects, but any commercial experience is very beneficial. Successful candidates must perform on site observations/inspections, collect samples per GDOT, ACI, and ASTM requirements, perform specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and transportation components, and maintain detail records of observations, inspections, and test results.

Job Duties:

• Conduct and document tests on various construction materials with precision and attention to detail. While you collaborate with experienced colleagues, you'll also work independently, ensuring test results are logical, complete, and ready for review.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment is well-maintained and properly calibrated. Your role will be vital in keeping the lab running efficiently and ensuring the accuracy of our testing processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have ACI Strength Certification and experience with concrete mix design
• Preferred experience in an asphalt lab (GDOT QCT level I certification would be a plus)
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
