Russell Tobin Scientific is seeking a Lab Technician II for an American multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, healthcare, and consumer goods.

Job Title: Lab Technician II

Location: St. Paul, MN (on-site)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12-Months

Hours: 40 hours week, 8 hours/day

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $27.80 per hour

Overview:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lab Technician to join our Corporate Research Process Lab team for a one-year contract. The ideal candidate will split their time between hands-on work on our process line and analytical tasks to support process and product development.
• This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
• Take ownership over a coating process line, working closely with product developers on coating operations and ensuring smooth execution of processes.
• Additional responsibilities include analytical work, characterizing samples and materials, and conducting detailed analysis related to the projects and samples produced during the process line experiments.
• Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Handle chemicals with care, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Document all experimental procedures and results with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve process efficiency.
• Provide insights and feedback to enhance product development outcomes.

Required:

• 1-2 years of experience as a Lab Tech
• Proven mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial equipment.
• Comfortable handling chemicals and working in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and adhere to safety regulations.
• Highschool Diploma required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree in the sciences preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing or R&D setting
• Flexibility to adapt to a rotating schedule between process and analytical roles.
• Experience use in Excel and Word.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise analytical tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills, self -motivated and results driven.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and implement solutions.
