Description:
This person is a full-time member of the Wikoff Digital Solutions (WDS) team. This role works in close cooperation with the other members of the team to grow profitable business while adhering to Wikoff Color’s standards of business ethics and conduct.
This role is focused on developing and/or modifying a range of digital inkjet fluid products such as water-based piezo and CIJ inks and primers/coatings.
Key Metric: Top-line WDS revenue (measured vs annual Sales Budget commitment)
Major Responsibilities:
· Conceptualize, formulate, develop and introduce new water-based digital inkjet products.
· Evaluate and re-formulate (as necessary) existing digital inkjet products.
· Work with Manufacturing on process modifications and improvements.
· Establish quality control specifications for new and modified products.
· Support customer product trials and/or evaluations to address customer-related product performance issues.
· Evaluate raw materials to ensure the use of new, innovative, and cost-effective raw materials.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, advanced degree preferred
· Three years’ experience developing digital inkjet formulations with a stable work history (experience in Piezo printheads, dispersion and primer technology a plus)
· Deep interest in digital technology and natural curiosity
· Able to make decisions based on scientific driven data
· Competitive drive, strong personal accountability and a sense of urgency
· Ability to travel as necessary
