About the role

Picture your day starting on the production floor, walking past CNC cells and grinders, checking the CMMS for preventive tasks, and prioritizing work that keeps a busy machine shop humming. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you blend building upkeep with hands-on work on machining equipment to keep everything safe, reliable, and clean.

A day in the life

You’ll complete scheduled PMs on CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses; tune up HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; jump in to troubleshoot a hydraulic leak or a pneumatic issue; align a relocated machine; weld a quick bracket; and finish by documenting every action before tidying your area.

What you’ll handle

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.
• Complete general facility upkeep: patch walls, paint, repair flooring, and address minor plumbing or electrical concerns.
• Assist with equipment installation, dismantling, relocation, and alignment to ensure proper operation after moves.
• Use welding equipment and machine tools (lathes, mills) to fabricate or repair components as needed.
• Champion safety with strict adherence to LOTO and PPE requirements; report hazards and incidents without delay.
• Track parts and supplies; record all work in logs or the CMMS to maintain accurate maintenance history.
• Keep shop, production areas, and shared spaces orderly and clean.

What you bring

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance (or related trade) preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Technical readiness: Comfort working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; welding/fabrication; reading technical documentation; and using a CMMS.
• Soft skills: Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, solid time management, and collaboration with the ability to work independently.
• Physical demands: Stand for long periods; bend, kneel, climb ladders; safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work environment: Machine shop setting with moderate noise, dust, and industrial conditions; off-hours or overtime may be required for emergencies or scheduled work.
