Job Description

NOVA Engineering is seeking an ICC Structural Steel Special Inspector in our Raleigh, NC location. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

• 2+ years construction materials testing and inspection experience is required
• ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Certification is required
• ICC Certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Soils, Masonry are a plus
