Job Description

The Handyman should be a reliable, dedicated professional with extensive knowledge in various areas of home maintenance.

Responsibilities

General Maintenance

• Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing light bulbs, installing outlets, and general fixes.
• Conduct plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and unclogging sinks and drains.
• Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.

Furniture Assembly and Disassembly

• Assemble new furniture and disassemble old furniture or furniture for transportation.
• Adjust and repair existing furniture.

Gardening Services

• Maintain gardens, including pruning plants, mowing lawns, removing weeds, and cleaning outdoor areas.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, and other plants as requested by the client.

Appliance and Equipment Maintenance

• Install and maintain household appliances such as washing machines, dryers, ovens, and more.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment.

Cleaning and Organization Services

• Clean windows, gutters, and other hard-to-reach areas.
• Organize storage spaces such as garages and attics.

Small Construction Projects

• Undertake small carpentry projects, such as building shelves, decks, and other simple structures.

General Assistance

• Assist with moving furniture and other heavy items within all properties under Slender’s management.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future problems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in home maintenance and general repairs.
• Skills in electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and gardening.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs/23 kg).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
• Punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Owning personal tools is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
