Job Description
We are seeking a highly technical and quality-driven leader to oversee global product safety and quality engineering across a diverse portfolio of commercial fire safety products. This role is critical to ensuring life-saving systems perform reliably in high-stakes environments such as airports, universities, stadiums, and residential complexes.
You will manage active product safety cases, lead root cause investigations, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams across global sites. You’ll also play a key role in reviewing new product designs to ensure they meet rigorous safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and resolve ~70% of time on active product safety cases, including escalations and recalls.
Manage ~30% of time on new product reviews, ensuring no risk to life safety and driving mistake-proof design iterations.
Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams (Asia, Mexico, Poland, Australia, Barcelona, NC, FL).
Oversee investigations into electromechanical and chemical suppression systems (e.g., foam, pressurized water, PCBA, embedded software).
Drive continuous improvement in product design, quality, and safety systems.
Support internal software and firmware development teams (homegrown systems, backend logic, UI for fire professionals).
Participate in global relationship-building and site visits (~2x/year international travel).
