Our client is a fast-growing seed-stage startup on a mission to bring enterprise-grade marketing tools to Main Street businesses . Backed by top investors and already live with major SaaS partners reaching hundreds of thousands of end users, they’re building embeddable APIs and UIs that make email, SMS, loyalty, and more accessible to small businesses everywhere.

What You’ll Do

  • Build fullstack features across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Rails/Postgres/Redis/AWS).
  • Design and implement APIs and embeddable components that power growth for SMBs.
  • Partner with the founding team to take projects from 0→1, move fast, and ship to production.
  • Split your time ~50% frontend / 50% backend.

What We’re Looking For

  • CS degree from a top program or 5+ years as a software engineer at a high-growth startup or top tech company (e.g. Stripe, Plaid, Notion, Gusto, Brex, etc.).
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects or fast career progression.
  • Strong React skills plus backend experience (Rails preferred, open to other languages if flexible).
  • Evidence of coding passion (very active GitHub, impactful side projects).
  • A resourceful self-starter who thrives in early-stage environments.

Nice to Have: Ruby on Rails experience, early-stage startup background, fast growth company experience.

  • Location: San Francisco (hybrid, 3–4 days in office near BART station)
  • Salary: $150K–$250K + equity
  • Hiring target: 2 engineers
