Financial Analyst, Strategic Decision Support & Financial Reporting

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

What You'll Do:

This role is a dynamic blend of strategic financial analysis and meticulous reporting. You'll be a key player in our financial strategy, working closely with leadership to guide critical business decisions.

Drive Strategic Financial Decisions

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and forecasting to provide a clear roadmap for high-level strategic initiatives.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and perform comprehensive scenario analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and business cases.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations on investments, cost control strategies, and growth initiatives.
  • Support the CFO directly with critical financial modeling and strategic planning projects.
  • Monitor and analyze key financial performance metrics (KPIs) to assess organizational health and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure Financial Reporting Excellence

  • Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and executive-level presentations.
  • Lead aspects of the budgeting and forecasting processes , ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis , providing insightful explanations for performance discrepancies.
  • Assist in financial statement preparation , ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Translate complex financial data into compelling presentations that offer actionable insights for various stakeholders.

Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner effectively with departments across the organization to gather financial intelligence, provide support, and contribute to key projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to offer informed strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate seamlessly in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment , contributing to a high-performing finance team.

What You Bring:

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in finance and a passion for strategic impact.

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Financial Analyst or similar corporate finance role.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful financial analysis and reporting.

Technical Prowess

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques is essential.
  • Expert-level skills in financial reporting packages and Microsoft Excel are a must.
  • Experience with ERP systems is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities , with meticulous attention to detail.

Leadership & Communication

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills , with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely to executive audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and a proven ability to work effectively across diverse departments.
