Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking an Exchange Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, CA!

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments in hybrid or fully cloud-based setups.
• Perform daily operational tasks including monitoring, maintenance, patching, and issue resolution.
• Manage email migrations, including on-prem to cloud and tenant-to-tenant migrations, using tools like BitTitan, Quest, or native methods.
• Lead efforts to optimize mail flow, transport rules, connectors, and retention policies.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of Exchange systems.
• Implement and monitor email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS), anti-spam, and anti-phishing measures.
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to support compliance initiatives (DLP, eDiscovery, retention policies).
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting.
• Document infrastructure, procedures, and troubleshooting playbooks.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Exchange (2013/2016/2019) and Exchange Online.
• Experience managing hybrid Exchange environments and Azure Active Directory.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and mailbox management.
• Deep understanding of email routing, mail flow diagnostics, and MX records.
• Experience with M365 tools, including Security & Compliance Center, Defender for Office 365, and Exchange Admin Center.
• Familiarity with third-party migration tools (e.g., BitTitan, Quest).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate or equivalent.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
• Knowledge of enterprise ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
• Experience integrating Exchange with collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
