Akkodis is seeking a Design Engineer for a Direct Hire job with a client in Lancaster NY 14086 (Onsite) . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Manufacturing industries.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job responsibilities include:

• Accomplished Mechanical/Aerospace Design Engineer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in full product development lifecycle, from concept to production launch.
• Proven ability to create and revise interface, detail, and assembly drawings, ensuring accurate dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Proficient in mechanical system design principles, applying expertise in materials, mechanics, and manufacturing practices to meet design and performance objectives.
• Skilled in engineering analysis, verification, and validation methods, including the creation of qualification plans aligned with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Experienced in collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Engineering teams to resolve design challenges and support smooth production transfer.
• Strong knowledge of engineering test methods and compliance protocols, including documentation of technical data and presentation of findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Adept at applying simulation tools such as SolidWorks and MATLAB Simulink to validate designs through virtual modeling and physical testing (preferred).
• Familiar with industry environmental and durability test standards such as RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810G (preferred).
• Effective communicator and team contributor with solid experience in technical writing, documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
