Position

This part-time role begins in November 2025 (possibly earlier) with the possibility of transitioning to full-time. Candidates must live on Oahu and will work in a certified kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare 4–5 signature bento recipes.
• Source and work with local ingredients while balancing cost and quality.
• Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and efficiency.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with Hawai‘i DOH requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience as a Culinary Chef, Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine (Head Chef), Sous Chef, or equivalent professional role.
• Must live on Oahu and be able to commute to Honolulu, Hawai'i.
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, Hawai‘i flavors, or fusion cooking preferred but not required.
• Commercial kitchen experience preferred but not required.

Compensation

• $24–$33 per hour, depending on qualifications.
• Position will begin at a minimum of 3 days per week, 5 hours per day (subject to change).
