About the Role of CFM Facility Manager:
The CFM Facility Manager is a site-level leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and performance of 5C’s data center infrastructure. This individual will manage mission-critical teams and service providers, drive safety, availability, and customer satisfaction, and lead initiatives that ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with strong people leadership, budget management, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across all facets of data center operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced electrical or mechanical certification or bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a management position with 10 or more direct reports
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- 8+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment. (Hospitals, data centers, power plants, or other mission critical environments)
-Strong aptitude with all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Teams, and Access.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of data center operations experience with emphasis on building systems and equipment operations.
- An excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, chillers, pumps, air handling units, etc.
-Experience using data analytics applications (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to make data driven decisions.
-Track record of managing vendor relationships and service level agreements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walk job sites in uneven terrain.
- Work at heights and from ladders.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more.
- Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration.
- Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
- Bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working
- Intermittently perform physical tasks /manual labor
- Use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
- Push or pull heavy objects into position
WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
-The CFM Facility Manager role is classified as exempt (salaried)
-Will generally work between 40-45 hours per week during normal business hours and will observe all holidays designated by 5C.
- Will need to modify schedule on a biweekly basis to meet with night shift team members.
-May be asked to modify schedules to observe critical works or other site impacting events at management’s discretion.
- Will be expected to participate in the site CFM on-call rotating schedule – answering phone calls and potentially arriving onsite during non-business hours (night shift, weekends, and holidays) events when warranted or at management's discretion during periods when they are designated as the on-call contact.
