Job Overview:
Computer Operator is responsible for the overall monitoring and health of the Central Data Center as well as the West Orange data center.
They are responsible for the creation of the Active Directory accounts during their shift in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Computer Operators monitor multi-technology computing platforms, interfaces and servers.
They are responsible for ensuring a stable operating environment and attaining maximum utilization of system facilities.
Troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and peripheral equipment.
Schedules and performs production runs.
Provides first level support to the Service Desk as needed, and performs triaging of calls to administrators within the Server, Messaging, Network, Backup, San, and UNIX teams to ensure the appropriate person is contacted only on an as needed basis.
