Position Summary

The Cold Chain Oversight Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving the temperature-controlled handling and transportation of temperature-sensitive product from production through distribution to the store level. This role ensures full cold chain integrity by monitoring, auditing, and working with internal teams and external partners to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.

Career Responsibilities

• Monitor and track temperature performance across all internal buildings and contracted facilities.
• Monitor the entire production process for temperature control and support improvement initiatives.
• Monitor temperature of every pallet and shipment across the entire supply chain after leaving company facilities.
• Monitor product temperatures at the store level through systematic or random checks; follow up with communications and actions for improvements.
• Consistently monitor each load in transit to ensure temperatures remain within specified tolerances.
• Identify and intercept loads at risk of temperature abuse using real-time monitoring tools (e.g., LTE temperature cards). Record, analyze, and report experimental data to support decision-making.
• Work closely with carriers and external facilities to improve cold chain processes and responsiveness.
• Ensure all carrier contracts and third-party agreements include enforceable temperature-control clauses.
• Work with carriers on claims, refunds, or reimbursements for non-compliant or temperature-abused loads.

Career Requirements/What we ask of you:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Food Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Experience in cold chain logistics, temperature-controlled distribution, or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of cold chain compliance standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with temperature monitoring systems and data analytics.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and travel to partner locations or retail sites as needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
