***Active DoD Security Clearance Strongly Preferred******US Citizenship Required*** ***NO VISA SUPPORT or C2C*** ***On-Site in OKC Required*** Primary Function: Long Wave Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. The role involves managing supplier relationships, optimizing purchasing processes, and ensuring compliance with contractual and organizational requirements. The Buyer will leverage the company’s ERP system (Costpoint) to execute RFQs, process purchase requests, and address supplier inquiries while collaborating with internal stakeholders. Essential Responsibilities: Utilize Costpoint ERP for RFQ creation, submission, and purchase request (PREQ) to purchase order (PO) conversion. Coordinate supplier communications, expedite deliveries, and oversee procurement activities. Manage open and overdue purchase orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and issue resolution. Monitor and report supplier performance through structured analytics and periodic reviews. Lead supplier engagement efforts, resolving performance concerns and fostering quality improvements. Support cost reduction initiatives, revenue planning, and engineering-based alternative sourcing solutions. Assist with forecasting, bid preparation, and procurement reporting. Collaborate with Buyers, Category Managers, and the Purchasing Manager to refine supplier strategies and sourcing efficiency. Evaluate and enhance internal purchasing workflows to maximize operational efficiency. Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure seamless information flow across departments. Work Conditions: Office-based position with occasional travel as required. Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 5+ years in supply chain management or a related role, preferably in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries. Skills: Proficiency in Costpoint ERP and advanced Excel functions. Strong communication and negotiation skills, fostering effective supplier relationships. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for DoD security clearance. Preferred Requirements: DoD Active Clearance Understanding of aerospace contracts, materials, and technologies employed in large systems environments. CIPS qualification or working towards it is an advantage. Previous experience in a cross-functional team is a plus.
