Symmetrio is recruiting for a Business Continuity Consultant to support our client, a large food manufacturing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide crisis management, and business continuity programs. The ideal consultant will have extensive experience working with large food industry organizations, with a strong background in identifying critical business processes, assessing associated risks, and developing preparedness strategies to mitigate disruptions.
This is a remote position with quarterly travel to Green Bay for team-building activities, stakeholder meetings, and strategic discussions.
Develop and implement crisis management protocols, including incident response plans and communication strategies.
Identify critical business functions, assess potential risks, and develop tailored preparedness plans.
Define documentation and reporting standards for risk assessments, recovery strategies, and incident response.
Partner with IT Disaster Recovery teams to develop an integrated approach to business continuity.
Plan, conduct, and evaluate disaster recovery exercises to test the effectiveness of existing plans.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on business continuity roles, responsibilities, and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or crisis management.
Proven track record of developing and implementing enterprise-level business continuity strategies.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
Professional certification in business continuity (or willingness to obtain within one year):
Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII): ABCP, CBCP, or MBCP
Business Continuity Institute (BCI): CBCI or MBCI
